In our third episode, Linda Mannheim interviews Preti Taneja about her book, We That Are Young (download from iTunes or Soundcloud).
A recasting of King Lear in today’s Delhi, We That Are Young has been called “shockingly prescient and blackly comic, like viewing our political reality through 3D glasses.” Longlisted for the Republic of Consciousness Prize, We That Are Young is published by Galley Beggar Press.
The editor in this episode is Sam Jordison, who tells the story of how the manuscript for the novel came to Galley Beggar Press (delivered to his home by another editor who loved the book, but couldn't publish it).
And we talk to books blogger Jackie Law (of neverimitate) about why We That Are Young has become a book she is trying to get everyone else to read.
